P90x
Has anybody tried the p90X workout by Tony Horton? I have heard good things about it but was wondering if anyone here knows anything about it?

P90X Is the bomb!
Hi there my friend,
I read your thread and I felt I had to comment on it.
I saw my brother about 5 months ago and he was about 185 , chunky and absolutely no disciplined eating habit whatsoever.
2 weeks ago I saw him again and he said he started doing P90X 2 months ago and let me tell you something.
He's cut like I've never seen him before. (I wish I had pictures)
There's a huge commitment and discipline involved but if you want it you'll get. I was so impressed with my brother's results that I got myself a copy of this amazing product.
Let's see the results...I'll post again with pictures when I'm done.

I started P90X two and a half weeks ago. The results are amazing!
Don't let it seem easy to you, because it's not. As J was saying it takes alot of discipline. The DVDs are a little long for such an intense workout, but that's what you got to do then so be it. I am not much for their nutrition plan so I eat smart on my own. You could get a copy of the DVDs and the workout sheet and be set with out spending a ton of money. Once you read the workout book and choose what plan suits ya. You don't really need it for anything else. It's a waste of paper if you ask me, but they have it to save their butts incase some fatso decides to break a hip or something.
All-in-all I would recomend this DVD to anyone looking to be in the best shape of their life!
Buy it Musclefreak you'll thank your self later.

Yo...What up Jiggas!!! I have tried this workout and I can tell you this. It blew my balls off in the gym. But the thing is. I am so freakin' big and strong that it basically didn't phase me the second time around. So you pussies that are having a hard time with it. Get stronger.

I thought I would let you, my friends, in on a little secret I've found for building my arm and shoulder muscles. You might wish to adopt this regimen. Three days a week works well.
Forget the DVD's and stick to the basics.
I start by standing outside behind the house and, with a 5 pound potato sack in each hand, extend my arms straight out to my sides and hold them there as long as I can. After a few weeks I moved up to 10 pound potato sacks, then 50 pound potato sacks and finally I got to where I could lift a 100 pound potato sack in each hand and hold my arms straight out for more than a full minute! Next, I started putting a few potatoes in the sacks, but I would caution you not to overdo it at this level.

ROFLMAO... that sounds like something I did. I actually put a baby cow on my back and walked around with it all day, and as the cow grew, I'd been doing it every day, so I naturally grew with it. Now I'm 7'5, 315 pounds solid muscle, and can probably carry a small car on my back. As far as holding arms out with the potatoes... I did that too, except I started with chickens, then graduated to my two dogs. I held them upside down and they didn't like it so'd they'd basically do situps and bite my hands constantly... you should see their abs... WHEW... they look better than mine. :-/

I started the P90x program a month ago and so far I love it .. lost close to 10 lbs so far. The only thing I really havent gotten into are the supplements. I use a Whey protein from GNC (before I knew about this website), but I still have no clue what to really use as far as a pre workout. I leave for BCT in january and still have a long ways to go. I do have to say for someone like me that is REALLY out of shape this program kicks my butt everyday.

Welcome to the A1 forum. Awesome on the px90 - let us know how your progress goes and use up the gnc crap fast, so you can get some good stuff from A1
Also, Jack3d seems to be VERY popular right now for pre-workout.
