Isolate effectiveness?
I hear so much about Isopure and other whey protein isolate brands but seem to not be as pleased with results? I am hungrier much quicker and it wakes me up at night? Anyone?

Isolate is best for post workout (Isolate digests very quickly) or should be what you drink if you are lactose intolerant due to its low lactose levels (there are also vegetarian protein powder options if you are lactose intolerant).
Even for a post workout powder, most people would say that it doesn't matter much for the "normal person", but rather if you were a competitive bodybuilder or intense athlete it may help a little more. I'm not sure if most people will really see the ROI for the cost of WPI.
I see no point in taking it at others points in the day (except if you lactose intolerant). As mentioned earlier the rate of digestion is faster than regular whey protein. If you want a night time protein get Casein (slow digesting protein). During the day you could use a whey blend as a MRP (blended with oats or however you like it).

You might want to try Optimum whey protein as this guy says that he is less hungry:

isolate digests roughly 85% in the small intestines instead of the stomach. this helps with bloat, gas, and stomach discomfort that most people experience. if you arent having any problems with your normal whey then i wouldnt switch, wont be any noticeable difference worth the extra cost. the digestion of isolate is not much faster than normal concentrate either. be sure to buy quality, quality is everything in this market.

It's B.S. nothing any different from anything else, don't spend more to get it or you'll just be buying into the hype. Yes, there are plenty good products with it, but they still don't do any better than they would if they were not isolates.

Any evidence to support this?

I agree, in my opinion you dont need to buy expensive isolates from overhyped companys. When a cheaper whey protein can get the job done. Honestly, all of us on these forums probably spend way to much on supplements the way it is, why spend more

It's amazing you think cheap whey protein concentrate is as good of a quality as whey isolate when WPI contains more protein than fat, has less fillers & ash, less lactose & filtered / ion-exchanged... On a gram for gram basis, I think you get more protein value per serving with WPI than concentrate.
