First we have MusclePharm Muscle Gel Shots which come in a 12pk. They're extremely convenient and easy to use with no mess. I haven't tried this product, but they're low calorie, high protein, and have zero grams of sugar. A lot of people take them immediately before workout, but can be used as a meal replacement. It's another low calorie, high protein, and zero grams of sugar protein product. I used it as a post workout snack but also ate one at breakfast. This product is $18.95. Both are obviously good products. The MHP Pudding Pak does have a high sodium count, but you do get more protein. The MusclePharm Muscle Gel Shots are a heck of a lot cheaper. If you buy two cases of the Muscle Pharm product you're looking at 24 units for a total of $49.90. If you buy two cases of the MHP product you're looking at 12 units for a total of $37.90. It's nearly a $10.00 difference.

But the choice is ultimately yours.

never took the time to see the Gel profile. Every time I see the word Gel, I think of Goo or carbohydrate gel...not protein pudding.

Honestly, I saw the word Gel and I was thinking hair goop! But then I saw shot, and I'm thinking 5 hour energy type of shot. I am curious to give them a whirl though.

Well there are some benefits... like: contains 8 out of 9 essential amino-acids[3], including glycine and arginine -two of the three amino-acids comprising creatine- as well as arginine

It's basically the same stuff our bodies already have in it.

Honestly, I loved the gels. They gave me what I needed and they tasted great. I used them for an after lunch snack and a post workout shot.
