A friend of mine is struggling with happiness and that made me reflect on the age-old question of finding happiness.
What makes YOU "happy"?
To me, life's simple pleasures are one of the greatest sources where happiness is found.
Here's a few things that come to my mind:
hanging out with my sweetie
playing in the ocean
watching the sun rise
listening to uplifting music
sipping on a fresh cup of hot coffee or tea
enjoying hot, buttered popcorn
hiking in the Smokies
waking up next to Hudson (my 4 month old son) smiling at me in the morning
working outside under the warm sun
reading a thought-provoking book
enjoying a hot shower on a cold day
being creative (writing, drawing, etc.)
swimming in the lake
laughing with a friend
...
So, what makes you happy?
Just let your mind wander, think of anything and everything that generates happiness, anything that you are grateful for, anything in your life which creates satisfaction.
I'm curious to hear your thoughts! :)
