What does everyone think about Pat Tillman's unfortunate death? Do we think it was a cover up by the government, or just a mistake? I personally think that it was a HUGE cover up by the government and they should be held accountable for misleading the public.

CAPITOL HILL - Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is taking no personal responsibility for the military's bungled response to Pat Tillman's friendly-fire death in Afghanistan.

Rumsfeld says he didn't have any early knowledge that Tillman was in fact killed by fellow Army Rangers, and not by enemy militia.
At a House committee hearing on the cover-up of the details of the death, the panel's Democratic chairman said the concealment of Tillman's friendly fire death caused Americans to "question the integrity" of the government.

But Rumsfeld testified that he had encouraged his Pentagon underlings to tell the truth.

The Army says there was no intentional cover-up. But for five weeks, the Army knew that Tillman -- a former NFL player -- was cut down by his fellow Rangers, but told the public and Tillman's own family that he died in a firefight with enemy militia.
