I am not really partial to a brand but I like Micronized Creatine and I take it with Grape juice. The sugar helps it absorb faster and taste great!

I would rather mix my own creatine + juice as well. I'm not a big fan of the cell-tech types. I like AST micronized. What brand do you use?

Favorite creatine product? Steak! lol
As far as supplements go, however, I too prefer AST's creatine, but cell-tech is what I'd reccomend to people new to using creatine. The built-in delivery system and the convenience of the product are excellent, IMO. I know, most people complain about stomach/ digestion problems, but I've found that is because they are using too much product, too fast, and their bodies can't assimulate it. If this is an issue, cut the serving size in half and work up to the desired amount.
Think about it, any product that is hard on digestion can be attributed to this theory. For example, double your protein, (or any nutrient for that matter)for a few days and see what happens. If your body's not used to it, it rejects it in the form of all those terrible stomach problems.
Steaks UP!! The only problem that I have with cell tech is the amount of sugar in that product. Something interesting that you are getting ready to see. Cell Tech drink in a can. I thought that's interesting!!!

Basically, when it comes to creatine, I personally believe that you need to at least first have your diet lined up and keyed in. Then creatine, cycled properly, can greatly enhance your gains and let you see the results you want quicker than normal. I would definitely recommend cycling just so you can drop some of the water weight gained from it out of your system. That way, once you start your cycle again, your body will be fresh and ready to absorb it fully. Anyone else have any other suggestions when it comes to cycling creatine? Oh yea, I recommend 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off.
I've used creatine on and off for about 10 years. What has worked for me is not to cycle it. Instead, saturate your system with creatine for about 7 days and I mean use 2-3 times a day about 5-7 g. each time. After your 7th. day. use it on the days you train assuming that you're working out 4-5 days a week. What I am interested in is trying Kre-Alkalyn creatine, any advise?

I'm curious about it too. I've heard and read good things and curious to try it myself and compare it to good old Micronized creatine with juice. If anyone's tried it let me know!

...is there a truth in the contra-productive reaction of coffeine consumption during creatine use? I am hooked on Starbucks.
In addition any negative effects of alkohol use during a creatine cure? - beside the known onces ;-)

I'm also a Starbucks junkie ;) I don't think there is any cancelling of effects due to the coffee. Stomach acid is much more acidic than coffee and that's where it's going anyway, so there shouldn't be a problem with that...plus the caffeine is great for a mental and physical energy spike to go along with the creatine pre-workout!
As for the alcohol, dunno on that ;) Probably better for the night off the gym...but that is a good question...

I like the GNC store brand

You must like paying too much for your supplements. GNC doesn't make creatine, somebody makes the stuff for them and they just put there label on it. You can buy a different brand with as good of quality i.e. ProLab, TwinLabs, ABB, EAS... for Half the price. Shop Smart!

i liked cytogainer. it has 54g of protein and 3g of creatine. i put on 6 solid pounds in 3 weeks using only that. i took half a serving before working out, a full serving after, and another half before bed. it was also the best tasting shake i have ever had.

Hey Tespio, I think it's fine to drink some alcohol. Everything in moderation is ALRIGHT. When I drink Alcohol, I always increase my Vitamins and Minerals intake plus I drink more water!

I have been taking cell tech for the past two weeks, and have definitely noticed and improvement in strength, although only a slight gain in water weight. My workouts have definitely become slightly more intense, and i feel as if i could add another excercise to my routine on any given day.

I didn't much care for kre-alkalyn but a friend of mine swears by it. I prefer CHAMPION NUTRITION creatine, I use it 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off which works well because I change my workout every 6 weeks. maroon11

i just wanted to post a reply on the guy that said that they didn't like celltech because of the high sugar content. that is 75g of dextrose used to deliver the product quickly to your system. it's like insulin for diabetics. ask any diabetic about it. my girlfriend is a diabetic, and the first time she heard me complain about the sugars she keyed in a got me to found this out. go to wikipedia.com and look up creatine. it has a great article on there and tells you all about the sugars needed to deliver more quickly.
I have been using AST HSC Creatine for 3 years and would highly recommend it to anyone. Great results!

Years ago I tried cell tech and made great gains. Since then I cycled through several different varieties of creatine as they were released. However, I never found them to be as effective as good ole' cell tech. So a few weeks ago I purchased the creatine monophosphate cell tech and it has been GREAT. Most of the research on creatine has been done on creatine monohydrate, not all this new stuff. Creatine monohydrate is one of the most researched supplements and also one of the few that actually has the science to back it up.

Another neat thing about sugar other than creatine transport is that post workout insulin(in response to sugar) speeds the absorbtion of amino acids, which is great for muscle recovery.
